Pendrive in sound works but not shown in your computer, well i had this problem when i made a botable mac os x for Hackingtosh after that i wanted to format my pendrive but pendrive in sound work but it was not showing in computer so try this tutorial before buy a new one.
Follow the steps-----
1- You need to open Disk Management.
Open run and type diskmgmt.
msc and open.
2 - After that you will face your
pendrive but choose carefully which one is your pendrive...beacause there is also available hard disk so choose it by pendrive size. And if there is no pendrive than your pen drive is dead maybe!
3 - Now delete volume (primary edition)
5 - Click next, next ( if you want change your drive letter then change it) again click next (if you want change your volume label then change it but do not change anything if you don't know about that)
Now it will take some time....
